The X-rated and horror-driven Deviant Pleasures records label introduce you to the second output of the Trilogy. “Pulvis et Umbra” is another merciless 4-artists x 10-tracks split EP on tape including 10 special editions.

After prior releases on the cult Dutch label Bunker Records and the iconic L.I.E.S. Records, Ye Gods continues spanning all ends of heavy modern electronic punishment on Deviant Pleasures.
Vocal drones and mantras are “Make A Tiny Sound Into An Avalanche” main players — but it’s only the first attempt of an intense A Side marked by brooding music. “Sifriyah” is accused of being a melody-slayer, an IDM-ish haunting gloomy gem.
Dense and pervasive stance for “Korsia”: grabby occult electro-industrial statement with a melancholic strain. Again strongly characterised by evil vocals. They invoke you in a heavenly tunnel concealing instead of its deep darkness.
Monumental finale with “The Explicit Name” touches the sacred, arcane and forbidden. Painting a grim sonic picture of a world straddling the line of both violence, poems and elegy.
Follows the R. Gamble explosive remix of “Korsia”: a dancefloor-slaughter. Analogical core to extremely irresistible breaks, structures and narrative. Dizzying groove with that slice of '80s inspired creepiness that's a cut above the rest. Relentless tune. No respite. Let’s go for the dissolution of the senses.

Sacred Lodge's tormented percussions and polyrhythms start the B side ceremony, extending beyond borders of noise. “Angolares” is a hypnotic and infesting wizardry with an industrial edge. Then an eerie ritual-dub breach breaks in. Is the A3 “Cavar La Boca”. Indulge in twisted electronics where Sacred Lodge’s Equatoguinean roots come to the fore: harsh waves of reminiscences of an ancient time. Beastly, cruel ride to a misty, mournful land. An ode to the most primary trance.
Follows up “El Otro Lado” a captivating and spellbinding modern tribalism excursion, which sets up a mystical settings, summoning spirits and ghouls.
Thereafter the theatrical grimy duo UVB76 storms “Cavar La Boca” melting esoteric percussion and synth-drone, making their dub-influenced touch the essential key element.
